So everything has really been looking up lately!
im feeling great about myself, ive got myself a bicycle and im moving into a house! Adios depressing apartment!!! hello new attic bedroom! -pics to come... i swear.
anyway ive been keeping busy, staying active and having a great summer (now if only i could do a better job of recording it) !!
This last Sat. BC and I went with Bret, Jessi and the fam out to Vancouver for the Portland Brewers Club "Iron Brew". (like "Iron Chef" only with beer)there were 10 or 12 teams and the secret ingridiant was cereal! Each team had to make a differant kind of beer and use one whole box of cereal. some of the choices were shredded wheat, cocoa krispies and corn flakes, etc.
Had a great time as usual, hangin out it the sun (got a little burn!), drinkin beer, eatin good food, chasin around a couple two year olds! In the evening we set up a canopy over the back patio and set up the projector to watch a movie on the back fence, while we grilled in the firepit that we build last weekend!drank a couple beers,smoked a bowl, ate awesome food. Perfection!
and on Monday after work, i rode a bike 4.5 miles! from ne glisan to se flavel. im proud of myself, and empowered!
but i also discover on monday that my apartment complex for some reason has no real record of my security deposit! my $600 security deposit! and they want to charge me a shit ton because i am moving out one month befor the end of the lease. bah humbug!!
- just when you really think you are starting to figure it out, someone has to shit on you!
fuck it. i just gotta get outta this apt. do what i can.

Oregon Beer Fest

ok so i didnt actually go to oregon beer fest, but i still had an awesome OBF weekend!
Went out to Beaverton to a home brewers and hung out while they brewed 20 gallons. 10 of a Belgium Wit and 10 of an Amber Lager.
so far i have learned that brewing beer is a bunch of guys hangin out drinking beer, they boil some water, throw this in, boil for an hour, stand around drink beer, boil, filter, add this, boil for an hour, stand around and drink beer.
ok so it was a bit more than that, it was pretty cool! Had a good time. And a bunch of other home brewers up to visit for the OBF came over and there were lots of beers to taste!! watermellon beer, barley wine, hard cider and more!!
Later we got a ride to downtown, got some awesome tacos from my favorite taco truck and headed home!!
on Sunday we made chocolate chip pancakes!

i missed you

my bestest lady came to town this past weekend, such a short visit! i love Janine. i always feel like no matter how long we go without seeing or even talking to each other, when we do again, its still the same, you know.
And it was great to be with her, walk and talk and just be friends. BUT im tellin' you! i dont love her new boy! he was so lame to talk to, i was just tryin to be friendly make conversation and every thing he said was "no". and he even lied right to my face. it made me sad. i dont see it. and hes not even cute. she was being needy and they got in a fight in front of me. it hurt to see her like that, she just doesnt seem as strong as she used to be.
on the other hand, looking forward to hangin out with kale and his new boy, he was grrrreat. sad too that kale only got to see janine for a whole of 5 minutes.
other than that tho, i had sushi twice over the weekend and got a great new t-shirt shopping with kale. i think we sat in urban outfitters for over an hour.
and i drank a bunch of good beer, at the rogue public house and over at a home brewers
and played frisby golf, smoking joints.

im ready, bring on the weekend!

4th of July!!!

So the fourth was a blast this year!!
I met up with Alexis, Spencer, Chris, Sam and forgive me for forgetting the neighbor girls name..
it was already 10pm by the time we all got on bikes and mobbed through SE headed to a house party.
The ride was great, there was a bunch of us riding, it was dark, there were no cars out on the road and there was fireworks going off in the streets and off of buildings we were riding by, it was Awesome! too bad i didnt get pics of the ride!

When we got there.. we had missed the band and we brought more people with us than were still at the house! and we were each carrying our own bottle of wine. ..

Sitting on the balcony listening to the sounds the sounds of the neighborhood fireworks we were reminded of "the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there". we thought of those, back in the day, sittin on their porches of havin picnics, bullshitin w/ their friends all the while listening to the sounds of battle

and we were all thankful for our freedoms
